Hotel City Garni is located near the TV Tower in the Zizkov district of Prague with a tram stop just outside the door to get easy access to the city centre (four stops) and the main railway station (two stops). There is also a Tram 26 direct to the Nadrazi Veleslavin station to catch the 59 Airport bus. You need the tram because it is too far to walk to the city centre and the nearest metro station (Podebrad) is a 15-20 minute walk. The hotel is a very good 3 star hotel. Very friendly staff who speak good English, 24 hour reception, good facilities and daily housekeeping keeping everything clean and tidy. Spacious, well furnished rooms with pleasant orange decor, free wifi, fridge and A/C. Very good breakfast with a wide range of bread, rolls, jam, cakes, cheese, ham, salad etc. Orange juice, however, is very watered down. Pleasant breakfast room open from 7.30-10am but they don't mind if you're a bit early if you need to catch an early train like I did to Cesky Krumlov. Overall, very good value for money, but this was October when prices are lower. Around 43 GBP per night.

I've had a really pleasant stay at the hotel. Located in a wonderful art deco building, though a little old, the hotel is nice and rooms pretty spacious. The single comes with a big bed and equipped with mini-fridge, among the others. Air con was very useful in the hot weather and, when there was an issue, it was immediately repaired. The staff was very helpful! Abundant and varied breakfast in the morning, both savoury and sweet. Perfect location to explore Prague. Trams getting you to the centre in 10 minutes are just in front of the hotel (they stop by every 2-3 minutes and about every 10 minutes at night) and the neighbourhood is quite interesting, with many restaurants and bars but without the overcrowding and noise of Old Town. Lots of parks around and convenience stores for anything you may need.

The location is a 30 plus minute walk from the main attractions or you can catch the tram right outside the hotel if you are not a fan of walking. We felt safe walking the distance even at night, it's a safe neighbourhood. The room faced the street with the tram line, but the noise was not disturbing our sleep. The double is was spacious enough for two people, simple and clean, pleasant enough. There is also a safe in the wardrobe which is handy. The breakfast was plentiful, varied and super delicious, they even served hearty hot soup which was a very nice surprise! I would say the breakfast was the highlight of our stay. Also, the staff in the breakfast room and at the reception are very welcoming, polite, friendly and accommodating to requests.

The room was big and clean, very comfortable, there was a microwave and a fridge inside. Hotel is big and hard to miss, located right next to the bus stop. We chose to walk to the old town on foot and it took us 30 minutes to go there. Breakfast is definitely worth buying - lots of choice for everyone. Many tables at the restaurant, there was no pressure for us to eat in a hurry. Also the staff was incresible. A guy who's working at the reception is so nice and welcoming. As well as the guy who helped me park my car in the underground garage. Amazing work! If I ever go to Prague again I will definitely choose this hotel to sleep in <3

The accomodation was fully worth the amount! Everything was clean and perfect, the staff is really nice (they even remember my birthday so there was a little surprise waiting for me in my room). We were offered to storage our luggage in the luggage room at our last day (we were travelling home in the afternoon so this possibility was really good). The property is only 2 tram stops from the Main railway station and it is really in a good location in relation to all of the rest of the Prague most-visited places. There is nothing I have to complain about. This will definitely be my decision of accomodation for my next trip!
